What Do You Eat?

What type of dish represents your culture? Taco's, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Spaghetti? Different cultures and regions have different foodways and traditional foods. Typically, American foodway's have been represented with a burger as a "American" meal. Depending on your own culture and traditions, your family or community may have its own important food or foodway.
As far as my own culture and tradition, I am American born and have a Italian heritage. That being said, important food in my own family is Italian Foods. This foodway is important to me because it represents where my family comes from and has also become a tradition. For holidays, celebrations, and even on regular occasions, my family will sit down to a large Italian feast. One specific dish that is important to my culture is Chicken Parmesean. This dish is eaten with the whole family on a variety of special events. We traditionally eat Chicken Parm on Christmas night and on birthdays. Whether it is hot dogs at a basegame or chicken parm for Christmas dinner, each community and culture has thier own important foods and foodways.
